The new feature allows Text Request users to request and receive a contact’s address at the click of a button.
We’re excited to announce that Locations is now generally available. Text Request users will now see a Location icon everywhere you can send a message inside your account. Click the icon to send your contact a location request URL. When the contact clicks the link, the page that appears will ask for one-time permission to share their location. Once approved, a location pin will be texted back to your Text Request dashboard with that contact’s address, which is viewable on a map. The feature is available on all Starter plans and above.
We built this feature primarily for our service-based customers, who need to keep up with workers out of the office, such as contractors, home healthcare providers, and those in logistics and transportation. Check in calls create extra work while leaving room for error, and constant GPS tracking systems are price prohibitive. But now with a text, employers can stay connected to their distributed workforces.
