SMS Marketing: Crush Black Friday / Cyber Monday

The biggest days in commerce will be here before you know it, and it’s best to have a plan for capitalizing on them.

No matter your industry, there are three steps you can take to boost your brand and your revenue.

1. Offer Something Others Don’t

Creative ideas go a long way.

You don’t have to be in retail to offer something on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If you’ve got products you want to sell at a discount, great, but you can also use these days as excuses to celebrate, or to promote other services.

Maybe you want to host a tailgate or throw a party to bring clients together. Maybe you’ll promote the same services you’ve always had. Or maybe you want to go the opposite direction and launch a give-back campaign.

Consumers are expecting a lot of BFCM hoopla, so think about how you can take advantage of all that attention.

2. Compile Your List

Prep your contact data to get your message out there.

Pull your customers and subscribers together so you can promote your offer to them. If your contact lists aren’t organized yet, this is the time to do it! Create a new group in Text Request, and import your contacts.

You may want to create multiple groups for customers in different locations, or for different promotions you’ll be running. Just think through what message you want to send to whom, and go from there.

3. Promote Your Offer

Promoting early and often leads to the best results.

Everyone’s expecting BFCM promotions, but that also means there are lots of brands competing for attention. You’ll stand out just by texting, but you’ll do best to send your promotion multiple times, and to promote your offer through other channels simultaneously, like through SMS, email, and social media.

By promoting early, you’ll stand out from the crowd, and by promoting often, you’ll ensure your message sticks. Both will lead to significant increases in sales.
