SMS Payments: Optimize the Text-to-Pay Process
69% of customers want to receive texts related to making payments, and businesses are increasingly obliging with great results.
Here are three ways to optimize the text-to-pay process with our Payments feature.
1. Introduce the Request
Remind people where and who the payment request is coming from.
Sounds like a no brainer, right? But imagine how confused your customer would be, if they got texted a link with no information surrounding it at all. They most likely won’t open it, and that defeats the point of the entire process.
So take time to include a brief introduction with every SMS payment request you send. Our Payments feature sends requests that include your company name, service description, and the amount owed alongside the payment link. That way the customer has everything they need to know upfront.
2. Track Your Request History
Monitor requests and revenue all in one place.
Our Payments feature gives you a bird’s eye view of:
The total number of payment requests made
The number of past due payment requests
The total amount of money you’ve received using Payments
Your average conversion rate (or the number of payment requests completed, compared to the number of payment requests you’ve sent)
This enables you to easily see how much you’re making, as well as who owes what so you can follow up accordingly.
3. Filter and Download Reports
Find and document specific types of SMS payment requests.
Our Payments Request History filter lets you apply custom date ranges, so you can download your requests as a spreadsheet to further document:
The date a payment request was created
The contact it was sent to
The description you gave the request
The amount requested
The status of the payment
All of this goes into streamlining your text-to-pay process, so you can see what’s working, make adjustments, and take back your time and money.
