SMS Payments: Text Your First Payment Request

1. Send Text Payment Requests
Test drive text-to-pay before getting actual money involved.
Text Request's Payment feature comes with a default Training Mode that allows you to fully test the SMS payment process. Any payment requests created during Training Mode will be delivered, but the money won’t be processed.
This gives you a safe way to send mock payment requests back-and-forth with your team to:
Determine what message template you'd like to include with your request
Practice sending reminders or marking requests as paid
Tinker with your desired convivence fee, brand colors, and other settings
All these things ensure that the SMS payment process is as smooth as possible for you and your customers. You'll get an idea of how to monitor who owes what and when, all from one place.
Once you're comfortable sending test payments, you can move on to connecting your payment processor next.
2. Connect Your Processor
How do we connect Text Request to your bank account?
It's all made possible by our payments partner, Authvia. You create a Merchant Account with Authvia, so your payments can be processed. Authvia then links your Text Request account to a payment processor that connects to your bank.
This way you can send payment transactions with confidence, knowing they're secure and PCI DSS compliant.
After your Merchant Account set up is completed, you can send your first real payment request.
3. Create Your First Request
Select the dollar icon while composing a new message.
Then you just fill in the “request” fields with:
The amount of money you want to request
A description of what product or service the payment is for
The message you’d like to send along with the request
If you’d like to schedule the payment request for later date and time
It's that simple!
